He has worked internationally on projects and consulted in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Eastern Europe, and Australia.

He specializes in the development, implementation, and use of proactive, custom systems and applications designed to perform and improve strategic planning, performance reporting, commitments and issues management, risk and issues management, communications, compliance, integrated reporting, acquisition management, deactivation and decommissioning, surveillance and maintenance, infrastructure investment, and site-wide prioritization, sequencing, optimization, and stakeholder decision-making, and work management. Jerel is currently the Division Manager for Work Planning and Control for Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS), a contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy that manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS). He is also the manager of Maximo.
