In 2022, BP began its journey to modernise shutdown, turnaround, and outage (STO) management—taking an early adopter approach to digitalising and standardising processes across sites. What started as a targeted initiative has since evolved into a globally implemented solution, supporting more consistent, efficient, and predictable STO execution across the organisation.
