This presentation examines the implementation and operational use of Prometheus RapidAPM at the Cardinal Generating Station, exploring how advanced monitoring and diagnostics tools can help power generation facilities detect abnormal equipment and process behavior earlier and respond before issues escalate into operational disruptions. 

Through three representative use cases, the presentation will illustrate how data-driven insights can reveal emerging issues such as abnormal vibration, early indicators of equipment leaks, and process deviations affecting emissions control. Identifying these signals early enables teams to plan corrective actions, reduce the risk of equipment damage, and avoid unplanned outages. The estimated financial impact from the highlighted cases exceeds $1.4 million, inclusive of avoided derates, repair costs, lost opportunity, and startup impacts.
